Early Start - ABA Therapist (Children 0 - 6 years)

Position Summary: Provide In-Home/Clinic/Community based direct therapy services for young children birth to 6 years of age.
General Duties:
- Work with contracted learners carrying out instructional programs as designed by the Early Start Program Director and Early Start Program Supervisor, in conjunction with parents and/or caregivers.
- Attends and implements intervention systems in a professional manner adhering to standards of Department of Developmental Services and Title 17.
- Have frequent and ongoing contact with Early Start Program Supervisor informing/collaborating on case specific needs, progress, concerns, unusual events and making program modification suggestions.
- Traveling to home and other community settings, as required, to deliver Early Start programs. You are compensated for travel.
- Completes all necessary documentation related to the program in a timely and objective manner including but not limited to data collection, treatment notes, timesheets.
- Provides frequent, pertinent and professional communication to parents, caregivers, and Early Start Supervisors.
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, in-services to enhance professional development.
- Assist Early Start Program Supervisor delivering assessments.
- Assist Early Start Program Supervisor with parents in preparation of instructional and behavior / behavioral programming that will promote achievement of IFSP objectives.
- Prepare program materials.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma, Associate’s degree, or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Psychology, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Completion of at least 12 college units in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
Experience:
At least 6 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities. Relevant coursework (12 units in the fields above) may be considered in place of experience.
Certificate, License and/or Registration Requirements: The following is a list of requirements all staff working on in-home programs must meet.
- Current California Driver’s License.
- A vehicle covered by current automobile insurance.
- CPR and First Aide Certification including Infant CPR. If not current on these, we cover the cost of your certifications and training time.
- Negative TB test. If not current, we will cover the cost of this test.
- Department of Justice fingerprint clearance. We cover the cost of clearance processing fees.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
