Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. As an RBT, you will play a key part in delivering evidence-based behavioral therapy, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and collecting essential data to track progress—all within a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
Duties
- Implement personalized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including grooming, feeding, and other self-care tasks
- Collect accurate data on client behaviors, responses, and progress to inform ongoing treatment strategies
- Support clients during teaching sessions, utilizing evidence-based behavioral management techniques to promote skill development
- Help create a safe, engaging environment that encourages positive behavior and learning
- Document medical records, care plans, and behavioral health notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with team members to adjust interventions and ensure consistency in care delivery
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and special education principles
- Ability to collect and analyze data accurately for progress monitoring
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and team members
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation practices, and HIPAA compliance
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards helping others achieve their goals
