Music Therapist

We are expanding at Unlimited Pediatric Therapy and are currently seeking an experienced Music Therapist to join our team! The ideal candidate has previous experience with infants and toddlers, therapeutic music programs and knowledge of special education. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Therapy, ability to play and demonstrate multiple musical instruments and design music programs for ages 0-5 years.

We are seeking a strong communicator and organized therapist to:

• Document therapy sessions, provide evaluations and care plans for young patients.
• Establish therapy programs to meet individual goals and assist with physical, communicative, social and emotional development.
• Conduct guided musical therapy sessions in-home and on an individual / one-on-one basis, with opportunity to lead music therapy groups at UPT Facility The Barn.
• Maintain communication with parents and caregivers about personalized treatment plans and sessions.

The ideal candidate would have:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Therapy
• 1 years of experience in Music Therapy, or working with children under the age of 5
• Proficient with multiple musical instruments (guitar, piano/keyboard, recorder, etc)
• Knowledge of childhood development and special education principals
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work with other therapists (OT, PT, ST)
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the county – Pinellas
• Bilingual is a plus!

Contract position rate of Pay $60-65/ hour

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $47.00 per hour
