Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our dynamic biobehavioral health team. The Licensed Behavior Analyst fulfills objectives within the mission of the Biobehavioral Health Unit (BBHU). Includes inpatient and outpatient case management of children with behavior disorders and/or feeding dysfunction who have co-morbid developmental disabilities, and staff training. Case management includes: consulting and creating treatment plans for BBHU behavioral cases; seeing and billing for patients at BBHU; parent training; conducting progress meetings; participating in daily rounds; case documentation; data storage; and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Inpatient and outpatient case management of children with behavior disorders and/or feeding dysfunction who have co-morbid developmental disabilities. Case management includes: consulting and creating treatment plans for Golisano Children's Hospital behavioral cases; seeing and billing for patients at GCSN; parent training; conducting progress meetings; participating in daily rounds; case documentation; data storage; and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Completes insurance authorization requests as needed for evaluation. Completes peer-to-peer reviews with insurance companies if services are denied, as appropriate based on clinical needs. Prepares a discipline-specific written report describing the treatment results/progress, evaluation, interpretation, and recommendations. Enters appropriate billing charges in EPIC for encounters.
  • Observe staff activities with patients and (a) provide immediate feedback or help, (b) might collect data as part of ongoing competency evaluations, or (c) report variances to one of faculty
  • Staff training includes training in specific crisis management intervention, assessment and treatment procedures, data collection and graphing in excel. Staff training will also include those participating in practicum as part of the masters program

Minimum Qualifications

  • NYS licensed Behavior Analyst and a Master's degree in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, Special Education or allied discipline required
  • Familiarity in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Adobe, Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in applied behavior analysis required

Pay: $70,000.00 - $89,608.00 per year
