This position is a full-time, 10 month, hybrid, non-tenure-track, faculty position as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Social Work. This faculty member will be responsible for teaching courses at the undergraduate/graduate levels offered through both the traditional on-campus as well as online programs. The teaching load for this position is 4-4 (BSW)/3-3 (MSW), with the possibility of course releases for leadership responsibilities, such as division chair or program director, depending on program needs and candidate qualifications. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with clinical experience and expertise, who has exceptional organizational and technological skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment while effectively managing multiple responsibilities and competing priorities. Essential Responsibilities:
- Teach Social Work courses at the undergraduate/graduate levels for both the traditional on-campus as well as online programs.
- Serve as an advisor to social work students.
- Support ongoing curriculum review/revisions and updates.
- Assist the Program Director and Division Chair in writing the CSWE reaffirmation documents.
- Contribute to the College and the community.
- On campus attendance at meetings and ceremonies at the beginning of the Fall semester, and at the end of the Spring semester.
- Demonstrate active research/scholarly activity in the field of Social Work.
- Demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching.
- Work with the Division Chair and the Program Director in the recruitment and retention of students.
- Consistently demonstrate high standards of integrity by supporting the Keuka
- College mission, vision, and values and adhering to institutional policies.
- Maintain high regard for student privacy in accordance with the FERPA privacy policies and procedures.
- Always maintain a professional and courteous attitude toward co-workers, internal and external customers.
- Represent Keuka College, its programs, policies, and procedures in a positive and professional manner.
- Maintain effective working relationships to ensure institution-wide teamwork.
- Attend provided/necessary training and other meetings to support effectiveness within the position as required.
- Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- PhD or Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) from a Council on Social Work Education Accredited program.
- Licensure: Eligibility for or possession of social work licensure in New York is required.
- Two years post-MSW work experience is required.
- Demonstrated interest and potential for excellence in teaching.
- Dedication to pursuit of scholarly interests in collaboration with students.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Always understand and behave with a high level of integrity and complete confidentiality.
- Ability to be sensitive to and respond to needs/concerns of students, faculty, college staff and the public.
- Cultural competence: Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and competence in program delivery and staff interactions.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Program leadership: Proven experience in program development, implementation, and management, with a focus on program evaluation.
- Strategic planning: Demonstrated ability to create and execute strategic plans to meet program goals and objectives.
- Budget management: Proficiency in budget development and financial oversight for program initiatives.
- Supervisory skills: Strong leadership and supervisory skills to guide and support program staff effectively.
- Policy advocacy: Experience in advocating for policy changes or reforms as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasional lifting of boxes, supplies, etc., generally less than 30 lbs.
- Some evening and weekend hours required
