Job Title: Behavior Technician/ Registered Behavior Technician
As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum. Your passion for helping others will shine through as you implement behavioral therapy techniques and assist in the development of personalized care plans. What you’ll do
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
- Collect and analyze data to track progress and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Provide direct support to children with autism and other developmental disabilities in various settings.
- Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Conduct patient assessments to identify needs and develop effective treatment strategies.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Follow ethical and professional standards (BACB RBT Ethics Code)
- Collaborate with your supervising BCBA/QBA/BCaBA/QASP-S
- Participate in ongoing training and supervision
Basic qualifications
- Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation processes.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience working in behavioral health or special education settings.
- Skills in patient care, including assessment and intake processes.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to confidentiality.
