Experteer Overview In this Medical Director role, you guide clinical input for policy, program design, and workforce development within OMH. You will lead efforts to advance adult community mental health services, foster integration of care, and collaborate with field offices, academic partners, and other agencies. The position emphasizes data-driven programming, population health, and strategic oversight of academic affiliations and training programs. This role offers impact at scale in a state-wide public mental health system and a chance to shape care delivery and workforce capability. Compensation / Benefits • Provide clinical input for policy initiatives related to adult community mental health services under OMH's system redesign • Lead integration of care including co-occurring disorders across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings • Support internal and external communication and collaboration with OMH Field Offices and partner agencies • Oversee Academic Affiliations and support physician, PA and NP workforce development and training programs • Collaborate with clinical leaders and program directors to implement standards of care, regulations, and program guidance • Respond to budget, legislative, and press inquiries as needed • Oversee a $20M academic affiliation program with multiple contracts and trainees • Support development and implementation of workforce development initiatives (Grand Rounds, Psychiatry Service Corps, PA fellowship) • Coordinate cross-divisional work with DOH, OASAS, OPWDD, and other entities • Contribute to data-driven population health initiatives led by relevant OMH offices Tasks • License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State • Board certification in psychiatry (ABPN) • One year of permanent service as Psychiatrist 2 for lateral transfer (transfer opportunity) Key requirements • Paid vacation leave • Paid personal leave • Paid holidays • Paid sick leave • Medical, Prescription, Dental and Vision care • Retirement system and savings plans
