Experteer Overview In this role you provide comprehensive psychiatric care within the Central New York Psychiatric Center. You join an interdisciplinary team delivering culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and evidence-based treatment. You will perform screenings, evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning, adjusting care as needed. You contribute to collaborative decision-making with other licensed physicians and healthcare providers. Compensation / Benefits • Perform psychiatric screenings, evaluations, and examinations • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose and treat psychiatric conditions • Administer treatments, medications, and therapies; conduct follow-up and modify plans • Collaborate with other physicians and healthcare providers on diagnoses and treatment plans • Competency restoration Tasks • License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State • ABPN certification or ABPN-approved psychiatry certification (for Psychiatrist 2) • For HELPS program: eligibility under Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (HELPS) • One year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a transferable title (State Service) for competitive class appointment Key requirements • Psychiatrist Loan Repayment Program up to $120,000 • Supplemental income for after-hours coverage • Defense and Indemnification Protection • OMH Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program • Advancement and professional growth opportunities • Generous paid time off
