Experteer Overview As a Psychiatrist 3 at Hutchings Psychiatric Center, you will provide clinical and administrative oversight of the inpatient medical staff. You will mentor residents and students, ensure treatment programs align with patient-centered care, and oversee quality and compliance with OMH standards. You will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, manage medications, and contribute to treatment planning and outcomes analysis. This role sits at the intersection of clinical excellence and staff development within a mission-driven public health setting. You will work in a collaborative team to reduce disparities and improve care for adults with serious mental illness. Compensation / Benefits • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to eight medical staff (psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners) • Mentor and train psychiatry residents and medical students • Ensure inpatient treatment programs are planned, organized, and implemented per clinical mission • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments including diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and counseling • Oversee quality of treatment services and ensure compliance with OMH standards • Conduct case reviews, provide treatment recommendations, and participate in treatment planning • Collect and analyze data related to medication management and treatment outcomes to improve care Tasks • License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State • ABPN certification in psychiatry • Two years of post-board certification experience as a psychiatric staff member in a psychiatric or general hospital, with at least one year in clinical supervision of psychiatrists, residents, or fellows Key requirements • Supplemental income up to 50% for evening/night/weekend coverage • Defense and Indemnification Protection for malpractice • OMH-sponsored CME program • Professional leave for continued learning • Generous paid time off • NYS medical, dental, & vision insurance
