Experteer Overview In this role you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to individuals in custody as part of an interdisciplinary team. You will deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based treatments aligned with the center’s mission to support recovery and culturally sensitive care. You will diagnose, treat, and monitor patients, coordinate with other physicians, and contribute to competency restoration and correctional mental health services. This is an opportunity to impact care in a specialized setting within OMH and advance professional growth. Compensation / Benefits • Perform psychiatric screenings, evaluations, and examinations • Order and interpret diagnostic tests; diagnose and treat psychiatric conditions • administer treatments and medications; conduct follow-up exams and adjust plans • Collaborate with licensed physicians and healthcare providers on treatment plans • Contribute to competency restoration and correctional mental health services Tasks • License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State • ABPN-certified or ABPN-training-and-licensure pathway depending on level • For HELPS pathway: eligibility via Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide program • One year of permanent competitive or transfer-eligible service (within State Service) for internal candidates Key requirements • NYS medical, dental, & vision insurance • tuition assistance programs • paid time off: vacation, personal, holidays, sick leave • retirement programs • opportunity for loan repayment • Mid-Hudson Adjustment of $2,000
