Experteer Overview As a Psychiatrist at Pilgrim Psychiatric Center, you will deliver primary psychiatric care and supervise residents in safe treatment practices. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, respond to urgent issues, and guide admissions, transfers, and discharges. Compensation / Benefits • Train and supervise residents in psychiatric care • Provide primary psychiatric care to patients • Respond to urgent or emergency clinical issues • Collaborate with health care professionals to achieve treatment goals • Assess and refer individuals for admission, transfer, discharge, and further treatment • Review and maintain medical records per guidelines • Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team • Monitor Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) patients and respond to AOT orders • Provide Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment Tasks • License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State • Board certification in psychiatry by ABPN (or eligibility via HELPS/limited permit) • ABPN certification or eligibility requirements for Psychiatrist 1/2 • Possession of a current limited permit allowed with a plan to obtain licensure within one year • Provisions for state service transfer via Civil Service rules (Section 70.1) or HELPS program eligibility • Legal ability to bill Medicare/Medicaid and compliance with exclusion lists Key requirements • NYS medical, dental, & vision insurance • Tuition assistance programs • Paid time off (vacation, personal, holidays, sick leave) • NYS Retirement programs • Loan Repayment Program up to $120,000 • Evening/night/weekend coverage opportunities
