A full-time Social Worker position is available at an elementary school in Glenwood, IL, focused on early intervention services. This contract role supports up to 40 students, working collaboratively alongside another school social worker who serves on a half-time basis. The schedule runs from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, providing consistent daytime hours within the school year calendar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive social work services, including counseling, assessment, and intervention, to meet the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of elementary students
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Provide early intervention support to students requiring additional assistance
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation aligned with school policies
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives promoting student well-being

Desired Qualifications:

  • Degree and licensure in Social Work with school-based experience preferred
  • Knowledge of early intervention strategies and elementary student development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
  • Ability to manage workload independently while working cooperatively with a co-worker
