A full-semester contract position is available for a skilled Social Worker to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Elgin, IL. This role offers the chance to work directly with a manageable caseload of 14-18 students, providing essential social work services across various grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive social work services catered to students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • Manage and support a caseload of 14-18 students, monitoring their social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to create individualized intervention plans.
  • Assist in crisis intervention, counseling, and connecting students with community resources.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and ethical standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Possession of a valid school social worker endorsement is required.
  • Experience working in educational environments with K-12 students preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school personnel.
  • Ability to manage a full caseload and prioritize responsibilities efficiently.
  • Understanding of community mental health resources and educational regulations.

  • Contract duration: Full semester
  • Schedule: 32-33 hours per week, 5 days a week
