This temporary position is located in Rocky Mount, NC -Nash County.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $34.35 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
This temporary position will be assigned to Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 141 Storage Road., Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
In this position the applicant will provide eligibility evaluations for children referred to the NC Infant-Toddler Program.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies
NOTE:? Qualified applicants must meet and CLEARLY reflect on their application training and experience and all knowledge, skills, abilities, and any experience or competencies specified in the posting and/or supplemental question(s) to be considered.

  • Considerable knowledge of a wide range of behavior and psychosocial problems and their diagnosis and treatment.
  • Considerable knowledge of family and group dynamics and a range of intervention techniques, as well as principles of casework and training.
  • Considerable knowledge of treatment planning
  • Considerable knowledge of governmental and private organizations, resources in the community, laws, regulations, and policies which govern the program.
  • Thorough knowledge of social work principles, techniques, and practices, and their application to complex casework, group work, and community problems.
  • Skill in establishing rapport with a client and in applying techniques or assessing psychosocial, behavioral, and psychological aspects of client problems.
  • Ability to supervise, train, or instruct lower-level social workers or students in the program.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with members of case load and their families as well as civic, legal, social, and religious organizations.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely and to plan and execute work effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as that ability to work with a variety of interdisciplinary team members.
  • Ability to formulate appropriate goals and interventions.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Master's degree from an appropriately accredited school of social work. Licensure is required from NC SW Certification and Licensure Board.
Necessary Special Qualification Requirements - One must fulfill all requirements for Licensure in North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as required by the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board.
