Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Classroom Lead - RBT to join our team in a full-time, hourly role. This position will involve facilitating classroom activities and leading instruction under the guidance of the school director, as well as providing one-on-one ABA therapy to students in a center setting. The Classroom Lead will spend 10 hours each week focused on classroom responsibilities, with an additional 2-5 hours designated for classroom prep and administrative tasks. The remaining hours will be dedicated to direct ABA therapy sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Leadership:
- Facilitate classroom activities and lead instruction with guidance from the school
director.
- Communicate with the director about student behaviors, group pairings, and
classroom progress.
- Set up the classroom for inclusive learning experiences and ensure supplies are
available for activities.
- Select and implement activities based on the director's plan.
- Collaborate with BCBAs and RBTs to maintain an effective learning environment.
- Prepare the classroom to support a collaborative learning environment and
restore it to its original setup afterward.
- Keep inventory of supplies and inform the director of any additional needs.
- Track attendance and ensure accurate records.
ABA Therapy:
- Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to students, meeting RBT standards and
individualized treatment plans.
- Collect data on student progress and report findings to the school director and
supervising BCBA.
- Ensure each student receives the appropriate level of support to maximize
learning outcomes.
Schedule:
- Classroom Time: 10 hours per week focused on classroom responsibilities.
- Classroom Prep/Administrative Time: 2-5 hours per week for classroom preparation
and administrative tasks.
- ABA Therapy Sessions: Remaining hours will be dedicated to direct one-on-one ABA
therapy sessions in the center.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, education, or behavioral
sciences).
- Experience in a school setting or academic background in education or related
fields.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Prior experience working with children in a classroom or therapeutic
environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members, including BCBAs and RBTs.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Passion for working with children and promoting inclusive, supportive learning
environments.
