Clinical Care Manager

The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Director of Nursing in the organization and administration of the Nursing Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Establish, implement, and monitor procedures to ensure nursing personnel consistently fulfill position requirements across all shifts, including review of daily charting and evaluation of documentation for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.

Serve as the facility?s nursing representative at Care Conferences and coordinate care conferences.

Maintain ongoing and effective daily communication with the Director of Nursing.

Support the administrative team in fostering and sustaining a professional, productive, and quality-focused work environment.

Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, directing, and evaluating the operations of the Nursing Services Department in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.

Participate in committees, special projects, and organizational initiatives as assigned.

Maintain strict confidentiality of all resident care and related information.

Demonstrate working knowledge of and compliance with all facility policies and procedures, as well as applicable federal and state laws and regulations.

Attend and actively participate in required in-service education programs and on-the-job training.

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Nursing or Executive Director, or as otherwise required to support departmental operations.

When necessary, perform duties identified within the Nursing job description in a timely, competent, and professional manner.

Promote confidence in nursing services by demonstrating professionalism, a positive attitude, and respectful communication with residents, family members, and coworkers, and by addressing concerns in a courteous and effective manner.

Participate in the on-call rotation when coverage needs cannot otherwise be met.
