Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team for the upcoming school year in a district near Blacksburg, South Carolina. The ideal candidate will support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development through assessments, interventions, and collaboration with educators, parents, and support staff. This is a full-time contract role (37.5 hours per week) for the full academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students’ cognitive, academic, and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement intervention plans to support student success.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans.
- Promote a positive school climate and support mental health initiatives.
- Assist in the development and implementation of behavior management strategies.
- Stay current with best practices in school psychology and educational policies.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program (New graduate school psychologists will be considered and are encouraged to apply.)
- Valid South Carolina certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with diverse student populations.
