Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Support Specialist/Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to improving the lives of individuals and families, particularly in the areas of child welfare and behavioral health. As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, and providing support to help clients navigate challenging situations. This role requires excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
- Provide counseling and support to children and families facing challenges related to family law, child welfare, and protective services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients in their decision-making processes.
- Manage crises effectively, providing immediate support and resources as needed.
- Advocate for clients’ rights and access to necessary services within the community.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress in accordance with organizational policies.
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices in social work, particularly related to childcare and behavioral health.

Skills
- Strong understanding of childcare principles and experience working with children.
- Knowledge of family law and child protective services regulations.
- Excellent conflict management skills to resolve disputes effectively.
- Proficiency in behavioral health practices relevant to social work.
- Experience with motivational interviewing techniques to facilitate client engagement.
- Ability to manage crises calmly and effectively while providing support.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to ethical practice in social work and adherence to confidentiality standards.
