Pay Rate - $20-24 for a CASAC-T or LMHC-P

CASAC, LCSW or LMHC - $25 -35 based on experience

House of Hope is seeking a qualified individual to work full time as a substance use disorder counselor with one of the following credentials (CASAC-T, CASAC, LMHC-P, LMHC, LCSW, LMSW) to work from our Newfane NY. residential reintegration home that houses 12 men in recovery for a period of 4-6 months

The Residential Counselor will serve in a supportive role within the residential program. This position will be responsible for the clinical aspects of the program. The Residential Counselor will also be open to performing other duties as needed that may arise at the request of the Program Director. Salary based on education, experience, and credential.

I. Responsibilities:

· Work independently and part of a team within the Residential Reintegration Program.

· Have a working knowledge and good understanding of the 820 residential reintegration rules and regulations.

· To always show mutual respect to residents and other staff members.

· To report to the Program Director any observed rule violations by residents or other staff members.

· Responsible for holding a caseload of 12 residents.

· Responsible for completing admission paperwork.

· Responsible for completing and updating comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, and all other related clinical paperwork within appropriate timeframes

· Collaborating with all available providers to assist with coordination of care.

· Responsible for the direct supervision of the residents during all hours.

· Appropriately responding to emergency situations as dictated in the policies and procedures.

· Being available for “on call” hours evenings/weekends as needed(rotation)

· Maintaining contact with on call supervisor regarding any resident and/or program concerns.

· Assists in transporting residents as required.

· Manages a clean and safe work environment.

· Interacts with residents in ways that are dignified, respectful and trauma sensitive

· Utilizes preventative and de-escalation techniques, when necessary, that are consistent with safe crisis Intervention.

· Collaborate with management and other employees of the Save the Michaels of the World organization

· Balance work requirements with educational opportunities such as trainings.

· Be supportive and encouraging to the residents in their recovery journey.

· Have a working knowledge and enforcement of the residential reintegration handbook.

· Model healthy coping skills, self-care and resilience.

· Provide crisis support as needed.

· Ability to work with computer programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Electronic Health Record

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

· CASAC, LMHC-P, LMHC, LCSW, LMSW

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to organize and manage client charts and protected information

· Excellent time management and organizational skills
