School Counselor Long Term Substitute - Kate Furbish Elementary School

Kate Furbish Elementary School is looking for a school counselor to work with our SEL team to support pre-kindergarten to grade two students and staff. This position will begin immediately and continue until the end of this school year (June 24th).

Desired candidates will:

• Respond collaboratively and flexibly to student and school needs
• Use a positive and collaborative approach to problem solving in a fast-paced environment
• Use a developmental and instructional approach to meet student and staff needs
• Support student and school crisis management planning
• Use effective school counseling skills to promote the social emotional development of students through individual and group counseling
• Work collaboratively with the Social Emotional Learning Team on a regular basis
• Small group and whole group instruction for social emotional learning
• Perform other related tasks and assume other duties as the Principal may assign from time to time
