Breaking the Cycle, a women’s substance abuse treatment program, located in Millinocket, Maine, is hiring an Substance Use Counselor - LADC, LCSW, or LCPC. This position is responsible for providing individual and group counseling to our residents, many of whom are dually diagnosed. Be part of a dynamic team delivering milieu-based therapy in a six month program. Our program is trauma-informed and client-centered, focusing on the individual strengths of our residents. We specialize in assisting our residents in identifying functional deficits and linking them with resources to improve functioning across life domains.

Must be fully licensed with documented experience in the field. Preference given to those with a Masters degree, although that is not necessary to be considered. Many of our staff members also have lived experience as we value the perspective brought by persons in Recovery from substance use and/or affected family issues.
