The Product Analyst supports the Product Department by gathering and documenting business requirements, mapping current and future state workflows, clarifying business rules, and improving work readiness before refinement. Reporting to the Director of Product, this role serves as a bridge between business teams and Product or Engineering by helping ensure requests are clearly understood, properly classified, and documented in a way that supports effective delivery. The Product Analyst plays a key role in strengthening quality intake, reducing ambiguity, and supporting consistent documentation and validation practices across the department.
What You'll Do
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders
- Map workflows, process exceptions and business rules to support current and future state understanding
- Help determine whether work should be classified as a bug, enhancement, configuration change, or new feature
- Support feature creation in partnership with business owner
- Improve work readiness before refinement by identifying gaps, unanswered questions, and missing details
- Partner with Product Owner, Engineering, QA, and business stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of requested changes
- Assist with user acceptance testing and validation activities
- Support documentation standards and consistent intake practices across the Product Department
- Contribute to process clarity and requirement quality in support of successful product delivery
