Company Description Heart & Soul Music Therapy is a Nashville-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit specializing in music therapy services for individuals on the Autism Spectrum and those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. We offer one-on-one sessions, adaptive lessons, group programs, and family-centered services across community partner sites — because we believe music therapy should be accessible to everyone, not just those who can afford it.
Role Description This is a part-time, contract (1099) role based on-site in Nashville, TN. The Music Therapist will plan and implement individualized and group music therapy sessions tailored to each client's developmental and therapeutic goals. Responsibilities include assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, collaborating with caregivers and community partners, and maintaining progress documentation.
Qualifications
- Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) required
- Experience working with autism and/or IDD populations
- Strong skills in assessment, treatment planning, and documentation
- Person-centered, neurodivergent-affirming approach to care
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Therapy from an accredited program
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Must be local to or willing to travel within the Nashville area
