We're hiring a Director of Resident and Family Services (LCSW) – a compassionate and knowledgeable leader who supports residents and families through the emotional and psychosocial aspects of aging and dementia.

You're a social worker with a heart for service and a deep understanding of memory care. You thrive in emotionally complex situations, advocate for residents and families, and collaborate across departments to enhance quality of life.

What You'll Be Doing:

Support residents and families in understanding and coping with the psychosocial challenges of aging and dementia
Essential functions include the provision of individual, family and group psychotherapy, with completion of appropriate documentation to allow for billing
Promote the community to civic and memory impairment-related groups, reflecting Silverado's mission and quality of care
Establishes open communication with residents and families and receives requests, complaints, and input for establishment of care standards within the community
Maintain continuing education through academic studies, seminars, and workshops
Participate in in-services, staff meetings, and case conferences
Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must be a graduate of an accredited school with a Master's degree in Social Work
Has achieved the accreditation of Licensed Clinical Social Worker
At least one year of experience working in long-term care, gero-psych, or related experience with seniors preferred. Knowledge and experience working with residents with Alzheimer's disease and/or related dementia is highly desirable
Experience supporting individuals with memory impairment and their families highly desirable
Ability to bill Medicare for therapy services provided
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
Reliable transportation to meet attendance and outreach needs
Active role: walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
Comfortable working in an environment with animals and pets
May be required to work outside of regular hours depending on business needs
