Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Mental Health Professional to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for diverse populations. Your expertise will help individuals navigate mental health challenges, manage symptoms, and achieve their personal goals through evidence-based therapies and supportive interventions. Duties

  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Provide direct support through individual and group counseling sessions focused on areas such as grief, addiction, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during acute episodes.
  • Document all patient interactions meticulously in compliance with HIPAA regulations, maintaining accurate medical records and notes using appropriate medical terminology.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, medical professionals, and educators to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
  • Engage in clinical research activities or data collection efforts aimed at improving behavioral health outcomes and advancing best practices within the field.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related mental health discipline from an accredited program.
  • Valid licensure or certification as a Mental Health Professional (e.g., Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)).
  • Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques such as motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychopharmacology support, and crisis management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, individuals with autism or disabilities, and those experiencing trauma or chronic pain.
  • Experience with telehealth platforms and electronic medical records systems is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and familiarity with medical terminology is essential.
  • Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient care; ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
