EMDR-Trained Therapist (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT)

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated EMDR-Trained Therapist (Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide specialized in-person trauma therapy utilizing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) techniques to help clients overcome complex emotional challenges. Your expertise will support adult individuals across diverse populations. Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Deliver EMDR therapy sessions alongside other modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, or IFS-informed therapy, tailored to each client’s unique situation.
• Provide individual counseling focused on trauma recovery.
• Document all clinical interactions accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards; maintain detailed medical records and progress notes.
• Utilize research-based approaches to inform clinical practice; stay current with developments in behavioral health through continuuing education.

Skills

• Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques including EMDR therapy and a bonus if IFS-informed.
• Strong working knowledge of screening for dissociation and nervous sytem regulation practices.
• Experience working with adults in an outpatient setting.
• Excellent patient assessment skills; capable of conducting diagnostic evaluations for PTSD care, chronic pain counseling, gender issues counseling, or special education needs.
• In-person experience preferred; comfortable providing virtual therapy sessions while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
• Effective communication skills for intake interviews and direct support roles; ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
