Central Louisiana State Hospital located in Pineville, Louisiana is seeking applicants for a vacant position in our Social Services Department as a Social Worker 1-4 who provides social work services.
The Social Worker 1-4 plays a vital role for the Louisiana Department of Health in the Behavioral Health community by utilizing CLSH’s values and mission to deliver quality and effective care to our patients. The hospital is highly committed to cooperative work with other state agencies and with the state and regional mental health program to insure the integration and coordination of hospital-community services into a comprehensive system of mental health care.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Certified Social Worker (CSW) plus:
A master's degree in social work.
NOTE:
Permanent status will not be granted in this job title without LMSW or LCSW licensure in Louisiana; Certified Social Worker (CSW) credential will not be accepted for granting permanent status.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Under licensed supervision, this position provides social work services to the Adaptive Behavior Service, a treatment program which
serves adults with a variety of chronic and acute psychiatric disorders. - Interview and provide support for clients, family members, collateral sources, and obtain and review all available records to formulate comprehensive
psychosocial assessments, and psychoeducational group counseling. - Prepare annual updated psychosocial assessments, individualized, treatment plans, referral packets, and case reviews of risk factors.
- Coordinate the discharge planning process and continuity of care with the treatment team and various community agencies and resources such as
Continuity of Care Coordinators, mental health centers, group homes, nursing homes, OCDD facilities, Social Security, and others. - Participate in project teams, service meetings, and department Improving Organization Performance (IOP) and department Competency/Proficiency
processes through attendance and input at meetings and monitoring of charts for peer review. - Accept and perform additional duties not listed in job description but necessary for the smooth operation of this facility. Adhere to applicable hospital, LOH, OBH and Civil Service policies, procedures, and rules.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, or Job Appointment
Career Progression: This position may be filled as a Social Worker 1, 2, 3 or 4. Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
Compensation: This position is eligible for longevity pay starting at $2.00 per hour. The Social Worker position has a BI-WEEKLY Special Entrance Rate (SER) of:
Social Worker 1- $1,900.00
Social Worker 2- $2,033.60
Social Worker 3- $2,176.00
Social Worker 4- $2,328.00
