A full-time School Psychologist position is available in the New Orleans, LA area within a public school district. This contract role offers a dynamic opportunity to support students across multiple assigned schools, with details regarding caseload and age groups to be determined. The role follows the district’s academic calendar, providing direct psychological services Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to support student learning and development
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop intervention plans
- Provide consultation and counseling services as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to individual education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation compliant with district guidelines
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Active Louisiana Department of Education Certification as a School Psychologist
- Completion of a successful drug screening and fingerprinting as required by the district
- Experience working in K-12 school settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced educational environment
