School Social Worker - Chicago, IL

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time School Social Worker opportunity is available at an elementary school in Chicago, IL, through the current school year ending May 15. This contract position provides a meaningful chance to support the social and emotional well-being of students while collaborating with educators and families to create a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop intervention plans
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success and well-being
• Connect students and families with community resources and services
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsement in Social Work
• Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred
• Strong understanding of child development, family systems, and community resources
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively within a school setting
