School Social Worker in Lake Zurich, IL

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Social Worker position is available at a school in Lake Zurich, IL, offering a contract opportunity from ASAP to June 10, 2026. This role primarily supports students in a PK2 building and requires a current Professional Educator License (PEL).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide social work services to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration to develop and implement intervention plans.
• Conduct assessments, counseling, and crisis intervention as needed.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with a focus on School Social Work.
• Experience working in a school setting, preferably with early childhood education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage caseload effectively and work collaboratively with educators and families.
• Knowledge of community resources and student advocacy.

Work Details:

• Schedule: Full-time, 33.25 hours per week.
