Social Worker in Round Lake, IL

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract position involves working closely with students, families, and school staff to promote social and emotional well-being, with a focus on two primary schools and additional locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct social work services to students, including counseling, crisis intervention, and advocacy.
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized support plans.
• Assess students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs and provide appropriate referrals and resources.
• Attend meetings, document services provided, and maintain confidential records.
• Participate in school-wide initiatives that promote positive school climate and mental health awareness.

Qualifications:

• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with endorsement in Social Work.
• Previous experience working as a school social worker preferred.
• Ability to engage effectively with students, families, and school professionals.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in-person 2-3 days per week, with a preference for a full 3-day schedule.
• Availability to serve multiple school sites as assigned.

Location:This position is based in Round Lake, IL, with assignments at Shiloh Park and West schools, among others.
