Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.


This opportunity seeks experienced social workers specializing in school settings to support students and staff within educational environments. Multiple openings are available in locations across Michigan, providing flexibility and the chance to contribute positively to student well-being during important transition periods.

Positions Available:

  • Two full-time social worker roles covering maternity leaves:
    • One at a high school in Ann Arbor, MI
    • One at a junior high school in New Boston, MI
  • Assignment dates: March 16 through June 12, both positions require in-person presence.
  • One part-time social worker position (two days per week) at a transition center in Flatrock, MI, with virtual or hybrid work options considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and support students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and community resources to develop interventions.
  • Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions.
  • Advocate for students well-being and academic success.
  • Maintain detailed case documentation and comply with all confidentiality guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Valid social work licensure or certifications appropriate for school settings.
  • Previous experience working in schools or with children/adolescents preferred.
  • Strong understanding of school-based social work practices and resources.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and crisis intervention skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Locations: Ann Arbor, New Boston, and Flatrock, MI
