A school district in Livonia, MI is seeking a licensed Social Worker to provide comprehensive support to students and staff. This contract position involves working full-time, 7 hours per day, 5 days per week, with a start date as soon as possible and ending on June 9, 2026.

Responsibilities include collaborating with educators and families to address academic, social, and emotional needs of students. The Social Worker will conduct assessments and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, MET report reviews, and evaluations to ensure students receive appropriate services. Building trust and rapport with students and their families to assist with problem-solving and crisis intervention is also essential for this role.

Qualifications:

  • Current Michigan Social Worker license
  • Experience working within a school environment
  • Familiarity with IEP processes, MET reports, and student evaluations
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and support staff
