We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide supervision, comprehensive mental health services, including psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management, to diverse populations across an outpatient setting. - Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify client needs.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement crisis management protocols and crisis intervention strategies to ensure client safety during acute episodes.
- Provide specialized counseling for child & family issues, including working with children with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and special education needs.
- Facilitate addiction counseling, grief counseling, PTSD care, and chronic pain counseling to support clients through various life challenges.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations, ensuring accurate medical records and notes using ICD coding for diagnoses.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on patient care plans, case management activities, and research initiatives aimed at improving behavioral health outcomes.
- Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to deliver remote counseling services while maintaining high standards of patient confidentiality and engagement.
- Engage in ongoing professional development by staying current with medical terminology, CPT coding practices for billing purposes, and emerging research in mental health treatment modalities.
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or equivalent in the relevant state or jurisdiction and CADC license preferred.
- Proven experience in clinical counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings, including hospital experience preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and group therapy.
- Strong background working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, geriatrics, and diverse populations requiring specialized mental health support.
- Experience managing crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health and mental health disorders; experience with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems essential for accurate diagnosis documentation.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of medical records and patient information at all times.
- Telehealth experience is highly desirable to provide flexible access to clients across different settings.
