DUI Evaluator / Substance Abuse Counselor

About Us

DUI Evaluation & Treatment Services has been Springfield's trusted DUI evaluation provider for 15 years. We're licensed by DHS/DBHR and work with the top referral sources in Sangamon County. Our client volume is growing, and we need the right person to grow with us.

What You'll Do

DUI Evaluations (10-15 hours/week):

• Conduct DUI evaluations (in-person and virtual) using standardized assessment tools
• Determine risk classification levels per Illinois DHS/DBHR guidelines
• Complete evaluation reports and documentation in SimplePractice
• Conduct continuing stay reviews and service plan reviews with clients

Group Counseling (optional, 4-12 additional hours/week):

• Facilitate virtual substance abuse treatment groups (2-hour sessions)
• Groups run 2-3 evenings per week — pick what works for your schedule

What We're Looking For

Required — one of the following credentials:

• CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor)
• CARS (Certified Assessment and Referral Specialist)
• CCJP (Certified Criminal Justice Addictions Professional)
• LPC or LCPC (Licensed Professional Counselor / Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor)
• LSW or LCSW (Licensed Social Worker / Licensed Clinical Social Worker)
• LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist)

Preferred but not required:

• Experience with DUI evaluations or substance abuse assessments
• Familiarity with Illinois DHS/DBHR risk classification system
• Experience facilitating group counseling sessions
• Experience with SimplePractice or telehealth platforms

Compensation

• Evaluations: $35–45/hour depending on experience and credentials
• Group sessions: $30–35/hour (2-hour sessions)
• Client reviews: Paid per review
• 1099 contractor
