School-Based Social Worker - Belvidere, Illinois

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time opportunity is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to support K-8 students in a school environment. The role is based in Rockford, IL, with a contract running through June 5th. This position offers the chance to provide essential counseling services, conduct evaluations, and assist students in navigating the challenges they face academically and personally.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering comprehensive counseling services tailored to K-8 students
• Conducting evaluations and assessments to support student development
• Assisting with student needs related to standard testing and academic progress
• Collaborating closely with school staff to support student well-being
• Managing a caseload focused on a single school assignment

Qualifications and experience:

• Valid Illinois School Social Worker license with PEL (Professional Educator License) PEL is required
• Experience providing school social work services, particularly counseling and evaluations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and staff
• Ability to manage caseload and documentation efficiently within a school setting
