Job Description: Resident in Counseling / Supervisee in Social Work
All Points North Counseling Services – Fredericksburg, VA
About Our Practice
All Points North Counseling Services (APNC) is a locally connected, multidisciplinary practice located in downtown Fredericksburg. We integrate counseling, medication management, and testing to provide holistic care to our community.
Our Mission: A New Standard for Clinical Support
We believe that to make a meaningful impact on the mental healthcare field, we must first support the clinicians providing the care. Too often, residency is synonymous with burnout, rigid quotas, and unsustainable pressure. At APNC, we are committed to changing that narrative.
We provide an environment where Residents and Supervisees can gain their hours and refine their clinical skills without high-volume client expectations. We prioritize clinical longevity and work-life balance, believing that a well-supported, rested therapist provides the highest quality of care.
Flexible Caseloads & Autonomy
We recognize that every clinician works differently. While we have benchmarks for employment status, we offer genuine flexibility regarding the number of clients you choose to take. You are encouraged to design a schedule that fits your capacity, rather than chasing a mandatory number.
- Full-Time Benchmark: Typically 20–25 booked sessions per week.
- Part-Time Benchmark: Typically 10–15 booked sessions per week.
- Note: These are guidelines, not rigid quotas. You will collaborate with leadership to determine the specific volume that works best for you.
Why Join APNC?
- Supervision Included: We provide in-house supervision as part of your W-2 employment, ensuring you have the mentorship needed to grow without financial burden.
- Professional Environment: Our top-floor, riverfront office is designed for therapy, featuring sound-masking technology, fully furnished suites, and a private staff terrace.
- Administrative Support: We handle billing, intake coordination, and provide a streamlined EHR so you can focus entirely on clinical work.
- Reliable Referrals: Our strong community reputation ensures a steady flow of clients, allowing you to build your chosen caseload quickly.
