Exceptional Wellness, Inc. is a community-based mental health organization committed to supporting individuals and families in achieving lasting emotional wellness. We’re currently seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our growing team and provide compassionate, client-centered care throughout Texas.

This is a flexible role with both full-time and part-time hours available. Clinicians have the freedom to create their own schedules in collaboration with their clients. We strongly value work-life balance and foster a supportive, inclusive team culture where your expertise and input truly matter.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver therapy through talk-based interventions and model sustainable, adaptive behaviors.
  • Encourage self-reflection, positive coping strategies, and healthy relationships.
  • Monitor and evaluate treatment effectiveness through symptom tracking and client feedback.
  • Document progress, write medical and referral notes as needed.
  • Provide education to prospective clients about treatment expectations and commitments.
  • Maintain warm, engaged, and trauma-informed therapeutic presence.
  • Adapt treatment plans to client progress, cultural background, and community context.
  • Participate in supervision (company-paid if needed).

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling or a related field
  • LPC License (NO LPC-A, NO LPC-I)
  • ANSA Certification
  • CANS 3-6 Certification
  • CANS 6-17 Certification
  • Strong verbal communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and commitment to culturally competent care.
  • Community-oriented with a passion for client-centered, trauma-informed work.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.

Preferred:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Certification
  • Play Therapy
