SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
Under the general direction of the Production Supervisor, the Electronics Technician II's primary role is testing, troubleshooting and repair to component level FWA electronics used in the communications industry. In addition to maintaining the highest of quality standards while achieving production forecast goals for the clean and screen team. This position utilizes skills, knowledge and experience in the electronics testing and repair industry.
SHIFT HOURS: 1st Shift, M-F, 6am-2:30pm
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct tests to verify functionality and performance.
- Cross train in other areas of the clean and screen operation as assigned.
- Collaborate with experienced personnel for professional development.
- Perform configuration and fault management
- Troubleshoot and Repair to component level
- Replacing parts using soldering tools
- Accurately consume component repair parts from inventory
- Work with Engineers when needed on new development or improvements for existing
- Work with Engineers and senior level techs to gain knowledge and skills
- Must be able to maintain high levels of quality and on time performance of product lines assigned to you
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Minimum 2-year Electronics degree, equivalent certification or equivalent job experience in electronics or technical role
- Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in similar role
- If no degree or certification then must possess minimum 5 years' experience in similar technician role
- Proven ability to test and troubleshoot various types of electronic circuit boards
- Experience in board-level and multi-layer board repair
- Experienced in repair lab equipment and techniques
- Excellent through hole and surface mount soldering skills
- Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use functional and situational reasoning
- Should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to be flexible with job duties and scope of work
- Demonstrated ability to perform tasks to completion
- Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, effectively balancing multiple concurrent assignments
- Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use functional and situational reasoning
- Should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
