Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time or part-time opportunity is available for School Psychologists to support an early childhood educational setting in the Bridgeport and East Haven, CT areas, including surrounding communities. This contract position is for the upcoming school year with a focus on serving PreK students aged 3 to 4.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting psychological assessments and evaluations for young children
- Providing potential counseling services as part of a comprehensive support plan
- Managing a PreK caseload, with part-time positions requiring coordination between two psychologists
- Collaborating with educational staff and families to support early childhood development
For part-time roles, the caseload will be divided between two professionals, each working 2-3 days on and 2-3 days off, allowing for a balanced work schedule.
Qualifications or desired experience:
- Certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience with early childhood populations, particularly PreK-aged students
- Skilled in conducting assessments and evaluations within school settings
- Ability to provide counseling and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
