Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.


A school-based social worker is needed for a contract position at an elementary school serving grades K-5 in Berlin, CT. This full-time role will run from October through January during the current school year.

Qualified candidates must hold a valid Connecticut Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential and bring experience working in school settings. Familiarity with supporting elementary-aged children and collaborating with educators and families is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students
  • Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student well-being
  • Connect students and families with external resources as needed
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and planning

Qualifications:

  • Connecticut Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required
  • Experience in school social work preferred, especially with elementary students (K-5)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage cases effectively in a fast-paced environment
