A K-12 school in New Britain, CT is seeking a skilled School Psychologist for a full academic year contract. This position offers an excellent opportunity to support student development and well-being within a dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students across grades K-12
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies
  • Provide counseling and intervention services to address academic, social, and emotional challenges
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to assist with student success planning
  • Maintain detailed and confidential records of evaluations, progress, and interventions
  • Promote a positive school climate by offering expert guidance and crisis intervention when needed

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
  • Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working with diverse student populations in an educational setting
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills for K-12 students
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Knowledge of special education laws and best practices
