We are looking for a compassionate, dependable Counselor Assistant to join our IOP team. In this role, youll help support clients through their treatment journey, assist clinical staff, and contribute to a positive, encouraging atmosphere. Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
• Experience in substance use treatment or human services a plus, but optional.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist counselors with client support and documentation.
• Greet and engage clients attending group and individual sessions.
• Help facilitate group activities under clinical direction.
• Provide administrative support for scheduling and documentation.
• Monitor client attendance and communicate concerns to staff.

Location: Portland, ME

Pay: $19 - $21 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday; Days (some weekend and evening coverage will be needed)
