Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides daily supervision or assistance in monitoring and mentoring students in room/chore assignments, personal hygiene, special recreation activities, transportation, and programmed activities.
  • Performs and documents daily checks of dormitories to ensure safety and security.
  • Prepares reports and provides formal observations of student’s progress, performance, behavior according to requirements
  • Assesses the need for confidentiality balanced with the need to report situations on behalf of students to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff.
  • Coordinate with family members in regards to consent for passes as warranted (Minor Students Only).
  • Serves as a channel of communication between management staff and students.
  • Provides informal mentoring related to stress management and campus living.
  • Provide assistance to students in the event of injury, illness, emotional trauma, etc.
  • Conducts Student Wake up procedures and ensures the MAC (Morning Accountability Checklist) is signed (Overnight shift only).
  • Maintains bulletin boards in assigned dormitory with updated student and Center information.
  • Ensures all dormitory equipment and facilities are clean.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Available shift: Wednesday 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Thursday & Friday 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM, Saturday 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Sunday 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday & Tuesday Off.

Qualifications:

Minimum: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent required. Valid Driver’s License. Six month’s experiences in education or similar field.

Preferred: Possess a B.A. or B. S. Degree in a behavioral health field from an accredited college or university. One year’s experience in education or similar field.

Knowledge: In order to perform the essential job functions of this position, candidate must be able to compose/write descriptive reports; use appropriate techniques to implement campus activities; verbally direct individuals and groups; remedy dysfunctional behavior; intervene with students; successfully complete mandated training courses.

Pay: $19.22 per hour
