Distinguishing Characteristics of Work:
The Patient Care Coordinator position is the first and last point of contact. They are responsible for greeting, scheduling, and interacting with patients as well as direct communication amongst various Departments.
Specific duties include (but are not limited to):
- Greeting Patients when they enter the facility.
- Answering phones / scheduling initial and follow up appointments.
- Communication with nurse case managers and adjusters regarding workers compensation and auto claims.
- Intake forms, data entry and patient confidentiality.
- Collecting copays and copay reconciliation.
- Knowledge of insurance (deductibles, coinsurance, copays, visit limits, etc).
- Knowledge to communicate patient’s authorization status.
- Perform other responsibilities as requested by immediate supervisor.
- Serves as liaison between patients and Call Center/Auth Dept/OM/OMDs
- Other duties as assigned.
Specific Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, Outlook)
- Good supervisory skills.

Minimum Training and Experience:
- High School Degree or higher
- Possess a valid driver’s license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $33,000.00 per year
