A School Psychologist opportunity is available for a contract position in an elementary school setting in Bridgeport, CT. This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in psychological assessment, consultation, and intervention strategies within an educational environment. The contract duration spans the full school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations to identify students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies
  • Provide crisis intervention and counseling services as needed
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and maintain thorough documentation

Qualifications:

  • Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students
  • Strong knowledge of educational laws, special education services, and psychological testing tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
