Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.


This opportunity is for a Social Worker to support students in a K-12 school setting in Willimantic, CT. This role is contract-based for the current school year and focuses on providing essential social and emotional support to students.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and address students social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student well-being
  • Provide crisis intervention and support services as needed
  • Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions
  • Connect students and families with community resources and support networks
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work (BSW/MSW) or related field
  • Valid licensure or certification as required for school social work
  • Experience working in a school environment preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with children across all grade levels (K-12)
  • Knowledge of community resources and referral processes
  • Skilled in crisis intervention and conflict resolution
