Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team in Ann Arbor, MI. This role is ideal for a skilled clinician who is passionate about supporting individuals and families through a wide range of mental health and life challenges—including developmental disabilities, trauma, and crisis situations.
As an LCSW, you’ll play a key role in conducting assessments, creating personalized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions. You’ll also work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure clients receive comprehensive, coordinated care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate client needs and strengths.
- Deliver individual and group therapy using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing.
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on clinical findings.
- Provide crisis intervention and stabilization support for clients in acute distress.
- Facilitate family and child counseling sessions focused on communication and conflict resolution.
- Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation (e.g., intake forms, progress notes, treatment plans).
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for clients with complex needs.
- Contribute to clinical research or quality improvement initiatives as appropriate.
- Offer case management services to connect clients with relevant community resources.
- Stay current on best practices in behavioral health, trauma-informed care, addiction treatment, and psychopharmacology.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
- Current LCSW licensure in the state of Michigan
- Experience working with children, families, and individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 and CPT coding, and familiarity with medical terminology
- Understanding of psychopharmacology and its application in clinical care is a plus
- Strong diagnostic, crisis management, and case management skills
- Experience with specialized populations (e.g., geriatrics, individuals with autism) is advantageous
- Commitment to culturally responsive care for clients of diverse backgrounds
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
