Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and a passion for working with pets. This role involves providing support and guidance to pet owners while ensuring the well-being of animals in our care. The caregiver will play a vital role in creating a safe and nurturing environment for both pets and their owners. This is a fast paced environment and must be able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional care and supervision for pets, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Assist pet owners with questions regarding pet grooming and overall care.
• Conduct assessments of animals to determine their needs and appropriate care plans.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility, including suites, crates and play areas.
• Implement animal restraint techniques as necessary
• Foster positive relationships with clients through effective communication and support.
• Reliability and Punctuality
• Reliable transportation (Uber and ride share does not count)

Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience in pet grooming, veterinary assistance, or animal care is preferred.
• Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and dog handling practices.
• Experience in kennel management or as a veterinary technician is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with both pets and their owners.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is essential.
• This is a labor intensive job, if you are not willing to work you won't last.
• Common sense, critical thinking and problem solving is a must.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week

Shift:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Work Days:

• Every weekend
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Dog handling: 2 years (Preferred)
