Position Summary:
We are seeking a licensed nurse to join our team as an Intake Coordinator. This role is vital in facilitating smooth and timely patient admissions, acting as the first point of contact for referral sources and families. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, have prior knowledge of KanTime, and capable of coordinating care with clinical teams while managing multiple referrals simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the liaison between Only Love, referral sources, and patient families.
  • Professionally manage incoming referrals and inquiries over the phone.
  • Enter and maintain accurate patient information in KanTime EMR.
  • Verify insurance and initiate authorization processes as needed.
  • Coordinate closely with case managers and field staff to schedule admissions.
  • Ensure all required documentation is received, reviewed, and uploaded promptly.
  • Follow up on pending cases and maintain an organized workflow.

Qualifications:
  • Active nursing license (LVN or RN) in the state of Texas.
  • Prior experience with KanTime EMR is prefferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and professional communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple referrals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solver with a proactive and compassionate approach.
  • Must be able to work full-time on-site in our McAllen office.
